Earlier in class, we learned that the Movie Rating system is incredibly flawed. I think that it is interesting that my whole life I was told not to watch rated "R" movies because they were bad. Although I agree that they don't have the most uplifting content, I do think that sometimes PG-13 Movies are worse because more people are willing to see a PG-13 movie. PG-13 movies in my opinion have a better market because they can attract the main movie goers, teenagers.
It's interesting that everyone bases the content of a movie off of the movie rating system because movies are rated by a team of private moms and the producers. While yes, there are slight restrictions on what defines an R rated movie verses a PG-13 rated movie, I think that those lines are becoming blurred and it's no longer black or white.
